Our Adjudicators come from across Canada, USA, England, Scotland and Hawaii. They provide written and oral critiques of performances and award trophies, bursaries and Summer School Scholarships.

Participants who place in the top three positions of their class receive a certificate, written adjudication and may receive a monetary award. All other participants receive a written adjudication.

We also sponsor the "NO BORDERS' GROUP DANCE CHALLENGE". The Group Dance is an open competition. Monetary awards await the winning groups in each category and level. These "No Borders" champions dance once again for the overall title of Grand Champion. Over $13,000.00 in cash is awarded. The Festival also sponsors a two day Dance & Wellness Seminar & Workshop for students and teachers which focuses on Dance, Nutrition & Injury Prevention.

In British Columbia there are over thirty dance/music festivals. These festivals are part of the Performing Arts BC Festival, more commonly known as "The Provincials". At the close of the Festival, Surrey Festival of Dance will send eight representatives to perform at "The Provincials" that will be held at the end of May.
